This one-hour workshop is designed to expand your technique, allowing you to create classic textures like stockinette, ribbing, and garter stitch, while learning how to shape your fabric.

In this relaxed and supportive class, we will introduce the essential companion to the knit stitch and show you how to manipulate your stitch count to create beautiful shapes.

What You'll Learn:

• The Purl Stitch (p), the crucial counterpart to the knit stitch that allows you to create endless texture combinations.

• How to Increase & Decrease, the fundamental techniques used to shape your knitting for hats, sweaters, shawls, and more.

• How to identify your stitches so you can confidently "read" your knitting as you go.

• Prerequisites: Introduction to Knitting (or equivalent basic knowledge). You should already feel comfortable holding your needles, casting on, and doing the basic Knit Stitch.
